Video Resources

We regularly post videos from our industry and field on our video log. The video log covers web design, search marketing and other relevant topics in the interactive field.

In addition, we have two videos from presentations that Aloha Media Group delivered at seminars in Honolulu Hawaii. The first is at the Manini Marketing Conference in June of 2008. This presentation is Website Design for Hawaii.

The second was with the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii in Honolulu in Feb of 2009. This one is one Web Analytics for the Hawaii Market. It focuses on how to read reports on site traffic and flow and improve ROI from your site by increasing conversions.

http://www.gashortcut.com/- is a resource recommended to all of our clients! This e-book is from one of the leading sources on Google Analytics. Well worth the few dollars it costs!

http://www.google.com/grants/- are you a non-profit or on the board of a non-profit? You should go here to Google Grants and put your application in for free adwords accounts. That is paid search engine listings at no cost! Probably one of the nicer things we've seen Google do!

Recommended Interactive and Marketing Books

Although we read a lot of information online, we read a lot of books to keep up on the latest trends and keep our ideas and approach fresh. Below are a few of our all time favorites:

We have yet to read a book that so profoundly changed our approach! This book is the best book we've read in the last decade. Not so much in new ideas or concepts, but in opening our eyes to the vast ways mass collaberation is changing everything! This book is a real eye opener and we feel that it is something everyone should know. After reading the book, we're sure this issue is affecting your business in one way or another.

This book is all about approach - and is something that has really changed the way we look at marketing in general. Not only are the authors great at communicating their concepts, the ideas and the approach to understanding why some ideas stick and others don't is brilliant! This is another must read.

Well the title pretty much says it all. Don't Make Me Think is all about web usability. It is considered one of the most important books on the subject....period. If you'd like to know a little more about the approach we take to web usability - this book will give you some insight.

Advanced Web Metrics is the most authoritative and accurate book on the subject of making the most out of web analytics. This book is loaded with great tips and insight. Web Analtyics takes a lot of time to understand and be an efficient resource. This book will help in that direction.

Landing Page Optimization is chocked full of tips for your search marketing campaign and improving conversions on landing pages. Tim Ash wrote this book on the subject and there is little doubt he is the most experienced person on the subject.

Once again, the title sort of says it all. But Google is so large and so massive, most people don't have a clue to the wide range of products and services they offer. What do you know about Google Finance, Google Sketchup or Google Talk? Google is so massive, it takes well over 700 pages to discuss all the products and services as well as give some insight. It's something that was valuable to help us understand their services so we can pass that information along to our clients. Not everyone needs to be an expert on Google, but for us it's a crucial part of our business.
